Adria Rossman, mother of 2, graduated from Nursing School in 1983. Early in her career as a nurse she also worked during tax season with her husband Howard in the tax practice. New to the tax industry Adria’s main focus was Customer Service and Operations. In 1990 Adria left nursing to pursue a full-time career with Rossman Tax Service. Initially she assumed the role of Office Manager, due to her success in this role Adria became President of Rossman Tax Service. Working alongside with Howard, Adria introduced and implemented new innovative ideas that vastly improved the overall production of the company. Adria also recognized the importance of technology and launched the modernization of computerized software in order to improve and meet the needs of our clients. As the business expanded Adria studied for and passed the Enrolled Agent Exam. As an Enrolled Agent (EA) Adria is a federally-authorized tax practitioner who has technical expertise in the field of taxation and who is empowered by the U.S. Department of the Treasury to represent taxpayers before all administrative levels—examination, collection, and appeals—of the Internal Revenue Service. Along with her son Joshua, Adria continues to introduce new ideas to the company and always places customer service as her highest priority.

Joshua Rossman, CPA is a Senior Executive at Rossman Tax Service Inc.  After receiving his Bachelor’s degree from Boston University, Magna Cum Laude in 1998, Joshua Rossman worked at Arthur Andersen LLP for 3 years.  Joshua received his license in 2001 and then joined Rossman Tax Service Inc.

Joshua’s areas of practice include income, sales, gift, and estate taxes both for individuals and businesses.  He has handled the preparation of thousands of tax returns, far more than the average practitioner.  Joshua is also experienced in handing audits and collection matters with IRS, New York State Taxation, New York City Taxation, and New York State Department of Labor.

Joshua’s vast experience gives him a commanding understanding of tax law as well as its application in the real world.  Joshua’s clients benefit from his obsession for customer service and his genuine interest in showing clients how to save money.

Leonard serves as the Director of Operations at Rossman Tax Service, where he leads all operational initiatives, human resources, and employee training. Since joining the firm in 2015, he has been instrumental in implementing new policies and procedures that enhance efficiency and support the company’s long-term vision.

With a unique blend of analytical and creative thinking, Leonard also designs and oversees the firm’s marketing communications, including informative email campaigns sent to clients. His approach ensures that complex information is delivered in a clear, engaging way.

Leonard has over three decades of experience in the mortgage banking industry, including time spent as Chief Operating Officer for a major New York-based mortgage banking corporation. His leadership experience and operational expertise are invaluable to the Rossman Tax Service team.

Outside of work, Leonard is an avid home cook who finds joy in bringing people together through food. He often shares this passion with the Rossman Tax Service team by preparing meals for staff, creating opportunities for connection, collaboration, and camaraderie. This personal touch reflects Leonard’s commitment to fostering a positive, cohesive work environment, one where teamwork, mutual respect, and community are as important as operational excellence.

Joshua Outsen, CPA, serves as a Senior Accountant at Rossman Tax Service Inc.
He earned his MBA in Accounting from St. Joseph’s University on Long Island in 2018 and obtained his CPA license in 2021. Before joining Rossman Tax Service in June 2024, Joshua gained eight years of experience at various firms preparing both personal and business income tax returns.

Joshua has a genuine passion for helping individuals and businesses keep more of what they earn. He works closely with clients to identify tax-saving opportunities, credits, and deductions they may not realize apply to them. His experience with a wide variety of industries gives him valuable insight into strategies that can benefit clients in unexpected ways.

When he’s not in the office, Joshua enjoys spending time with his family, discovering great food, caring for and spending time with his dogs, and getting outdoors. He’s an avid golfer in the summer and a snowboarder in the winter.

Anwar Petty brings more than a decade of hands-on tax experience to Rossman Tax Service. He began his career in taxation during the 2012 tax season while working with a Liberty Tax franchisor. Motivated to deepen his expertise and build a long-term career in the field, Anwar pursued his Enrolled Agent credentials, completing two of the three exams before joining Rossman Tax Service as a seasonal accountant in November 2015. He successfully passed his final exam during the 2016 tax season.

Over the years, Anwar has developed a broad and well-rounded skill set, working with individual and business tax returns, payroll and sales tax filings, bookkeeping, year-end tax planning, and audit support, including workers’ compensation audits. He also has extensive experience handling tax notices and correspondence for both individuals and businesses.

Anwar is known for his client-focused approach and his commitment to making the tax process more understandable and less stressful. He takes pride in educating clients so they feel informed and confident, believing that strong communication and transparency lead to the best possible outcomes. Anwar is also an invaluable resource to Rossman Tax Service, as his extensive knowledge of tax law greatly benefits both staff and clients alike.
